Amélie is an artist living in Bern, Switzerland. She studied 2D Animation in Lucerne, Switzerland and has since been working as a freelanced animator, illustrator and story artist for various short and long films, as well as commissioned and personal projects.
Amélie’s fascination lies in the absurdity of the everyday, the written word, drawing and the moving picture. She creates and develops characters, stories and visual worlds that convey just the right feeling for each individual project and gladly accepts a challenge here and there, for example when being presented with new ideas and paths that she hasn’t explored before.
Parallel to creating artworks, Amélie is also co-curator of the Fantoche Industry Day and SAIA – Swiss Animation Industry Award and teacher for the «animated narration» course at the school of visual arts in Biel/Bienne.
